Fire Breaks Out on Commercial Vessels at Iran’s Dayyer Port

(MENAFN) A fire has broken out on multiple commercial vessels at Iran’s southern port of Dayyer, according to reports from a news agency.

Firefighting teams were deployed to the scene and are currently working to bring the blaze under control, the report said.

Authorities stated that the cause of the incident has not yet been determined. It added that further details will be released once firefighting operations are fully completed and conditions allow for investigation.

The incident comes amid continued regional tensions, including instability around the Strait of Hormuz, even as a fragile ceasefire remains in place following earlier hostilities involving US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28.
