Magnitude Quake Shakes Greek Island of Euboea
(MENAFN) A seismic event measuring 5.2 in magnitude occurred off the coast of Greece’s Euboea island in the early hours of Tuesday, and was noticeably experienced in the capital, Athens, officials announced.
The earthquake took place at 00:30 local time (2130GMT Monday), approximately 45 kilometers (28 miles) northeast of Athens, as stated by the Institute of Geodynamics at the National Observatory of Athens.
Authorities confirmed that there were no instant reports of injuries or structural destruction.
