Erdogan Discusses Israel-Iran Conflict with UAE Leader
A statement from the Turkish Communications Directorate revealed that the conversation centered on the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, the strengthening of bilateral relations, and broader regional stability concerns.
"During the call, President Erdogan stated that the spiral of violence triggered by Israel's attacks on Iran poses a risk to the security of the entire region, that the region is unable to endure another war," the directorate reported.
Erdogan emphasized the importance of resolving the confrontations through diplomatic avenues. He pointed out that resuming negotiations remains the essential step toward settling the nuclear disagreement with Iran.
Additionally, Erdogan warned against allowing the ongoing turmoil to overshadow the severe humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He cautioned that neglecting this could jeopardize the West Bank and Eastern Jerusalem, potentially bringing them under the threat of occupation.
