Israel dominates skies of Tehran
(MENAFN) Fresh air raids were launched by Israel on central Iran on Monday, intensifying the ongoing conflict between the two nations. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a bold declaration, stating that Israel now has "full control of airspace over Tehran."
According to reports, the Israeli military-initiated attacks on numerous targets across central regions of Iran. However, no specific locations or details were disclosed.
Iranian news outlets verified that the main highway linking Tehran and Qom had been shut down due to the latest strikes by Israel.
As per an official military update, Israeli forces intercepted and destroyed several trucks traveling from western Iran toward Tehran. These vehicles were reportedly transporting military equipment, including surface-to-air missile systems. “We struck the trucks, neutralizing the weapons and launchers,” the army said.
The situation has been spiraling since Friday, following a massive wave of Israeli strikes that hit Iranian military and nuclear sites, leading to retaliatory missile fire from Tehran.
In the aftermath, Israeli sources reported that Iranian attacks have resulted in 24 deaths and hundreds of injuries. Iran, on the other hand, claimed that Israel’s assault has killed 224 people and injured over 1,000.
