Laos Expands Access to Inclusive, Equitable Education in 2025
A ministry report released Tuesday detailed plans to join forces with development partners in refining strategies for the Learning and Equity Acceleration Project. The focus is on sustaining efforts that promote high-quality, fair, and inclusive education across Laos.
The initiative targets improved learning outcomes in primary education while enhancing teacher effectiveness, equity, and accountability within the country’s education system. Core activities emphasize nurturing motivated learners and educators alongside strengthening school governance to boost teaching and learning standards.
During the first half of 2025, the project advanced education by raising primary students’ performance in selected regions, reinforcing teacher support and oversight, implementing policies tailored for educators in remote areas, increasing reading readiness, and broadening community-based early childhood development programs.
The ministry also called on all relevant sectors to intensify cooperation with stakeholders throughout 2025, improving planning, communication, promotion, and monitoring across all levels to ensure swift benefits reach target communities.
